I know you need a .norbin file. But every time I copy the file from USB to my PC it just goes away! So I'm wondering if DEX to CEX is still possible, the only way I can think of is redowngrading or using recuva or disk digger to get it back.

Not sure you want to go to 4.76, it's much less stable and buggy. But you will need your flashes to convert. For whatever reason your PC is doing that something is blocking it. You should disable any antivirus, even then not sure why that would be targeted. If not, just re-dump your eid and swap lv2 Kernal. Should make backup of your flashes in /tmp.

So I can still do it without a flash? Anyway, I'm going to see if I can find my norbin in the temp folder. But if I dump my eid and swap my lv2 without the norbin won't I soft brick? That's what happened last time. This is my second time jailbroken.

No you need your flashes aka norbins. You can re-create them by re-dumping your EID. Then attempt to convert to CEX and it should allow you too. It shouldn't brick as those are the flashes for your system, if they belonged to another system then yes you would brick it badly.

Although, toolbox isn't 100% safe when converting to CEX. If you want to be safe, dump eid using toolbox. Then download IDPS Set and install it. Then launch and choose Make CEX and DEX dumps. Then, convert to CEX using the same app. It's safer this way because if those flashes aren't good, this will re-create them and tell you if something is wrong with them, instead of just attempting to convert and possibly brick you.
