(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello, so I bought a jailbroken ps3 3 months ago and I have a problem. When I press the power button nothing comes on screen. I can't get into recovery mode because even that doesn't show up. My controller is not getting detected either. I tried removing HDD and doing the same thing trying to get into recovery mode but no success. I tried using both a HDMI and also tried running it through my hd pvr 2 with a compenent cable. I didn't mess with the flash or any updates. I was playing gta in the morning and wanted to go back on now and this happened. Thanks for all help!

UPDATE: the ps3 booted for a few seconds with messed lines all over the screen then it froze. I'm guessing that's a broken GPU?

Sounds like pre-YLOD. Had this happen a few times. You're system is officially done really, no permanent fix. Better off selling it for parts and getting another.
