Besides disabling syscalls using either PSNPatch, SEN Enabler or CCAPI there's really not much you can do to make it look "normal" & i've never heard of that file before so chances are your friend is lying about it.

Not really besides ofw mode and disabling sys calls, but even then Sony can see you are on CFW which is why it's useless. Only other thing is dual boot CFW. But it would be pointless really
