Try another USB port. Check under music to see if USB icon appears.

Are you sure it just is not recognizing a specific package and not a problem with the usb?

It does show up
But when I got to package manager then install package manager next standard I don't see my stuff from my usb

That's only for installing pkg files and they have to be on the root of the USB in the right slot.
