I want to remove my jailbreak and i dont know how, the tutorials on youtube are really poor in my opinion.
I dont know alot about jailbreaking so if there's anything i missed please ask the question below.
Someone help pls!
What im going to do with it:
i used to play on my jailbroken ps3 a while ago and it was such a mess with the cid and the trouble of getting online, so i quit. Now i play games on my pc and the only reason i want to use the ps3 is so i can watch netflix on it.
I wont play any games on the ps3.
attempting to update to OFW
I formatted my ps3 and tried updating through my usb to 4.80 but it says no applicable data was found.
The usb is FAT32, yes i have all the files named correctly.
Attempting to downgrade to 3.55 OFW/CFW and then update to 4.80 OFW
tried two different 3.55 ofw and it keeps saying the data is corrupted with error code 8002F2C5
Tried 3.55 CFW with the same error.
Im willing to pay aslong as it gets fixed.

The simple list way is just updating via the ps3 over the internet without using a usb. Just go check for updates and do it that way problem solved it will remove the cfw for you

Doesnt show me the option of updating using the internet

Have you double checked to make sure the update folder and everything is named right?

first of all since you are on DEX ur going to have to convert back to CEX (retail CFW, DEX is debug FW) then from here you can install any regular OFW
