1. since your on cex you can only ps2 games for your region so example say you live in Australia you need the pal version of the game, as for freezing load with webman, if you don't know how to get webman go into rebug tool box and make sure cobra and webman are enabled, black screen 100% of the time means you have wrong region set or bad copy/ incompatible settings for ps2 iso its a easy fix, also you will probably need a cord, i remember times i needed a cord and times i didn't cant remember what configs did what or what consoles i was using.

i just converted to dex and trying to load The Simpsons Hit & Run (Europe) (En,Fr,De,Es) ISO , still same problem. cobra and webman are enabled

go to debug settings, go to display change the thing that says 480p to 5XXp and then change the region to EU then reboot console, that should fix it

I've done what you said , i changed to 576p and region to EU still get black screen, controller turns off and ps3 freeze.

whats the region code on the ps2 disc? also modifying the ps2 files will do this, and converting to iso incorrectly

well, there's your problem, if you want to play ps2 games best way to be sure it will work is to get a ps2 game disc and extract the folders into a iso and send it to the console. in future don't link illegal content on site or you will run risk of a ngu ban, also be sure to put the game in the ps2iso folder
