Same thing happened to me but it only happened after I changed my CID and it happens when I'm playing bo2 or mw2 when I load up an sprx

You should try another HDD to see if it freezes with that too.

Then there's a good possibility your HDD is corrupt. As far as the new one, when you get that error that means your HDD isn't inserted properly.

the other hdd that freezes works perfectly fine but the thing is that it freezes

the hdd that im using to fix the problem (the other hdd) is from my ps3 slim which is not jailbroke aka not cfw, and it doesnt work but works on my ps3 slim

so i think the hdd im trying, cant be run on a jailbroken ps3 it has to be a hdd that has jailbroken data on it? lol auote me back

No that doesn't matter. It would ask to reformat the HDD you put in. It's just not inserted properly. The other HDD is corrupt if it's freezing. Should restore it or get another.
