Post: 4.80 upgrade

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi guys, i'm on 4.70 Cfw and wanted to upgrade to 4.80 to play the latest games but to confused how to, everyone saying different things , i payed someone last year to mod my Ps3 so i know nothing about modding at all.

any help appreciated.

Just download 4.80 Rebug from the Rebug site and update like normal. Assuming you know how to do so? Also, updating your system doesn't really have to do with playing games. You could play them all on 4.70.

Yes if it's the "rename the file psupdate.pup" etc , but many were saying i had to downgrade before doing it and a bunch of other things.

Well i can play them after some time, but the PES 2017 Demo that just came out for example i can't ,its only for 4.80 for now,if there is another method...

That's incorrect. You don't have to, if you can't install anything for some reason then you would. It's a last resort. Also, it's named "PS3UPDAT.PUP". With folders and all.

You could resign the eboot, or you can update.

Well thanks for the info mate seems easy enough, but i don't think my actual CFW is Rebug, i will check what it is or is there no problem if i go from XX CFW 4.70 to Rebug 4.80 ?

Doesn't matter. Remove any discs and if no luck via xmb, try safe mode.
