I have a jailbroken ps3, it isnt banned... yet.... but i read its a good idea to try and keep the original console id from being banned if i ever decide i wanna go back to OFW.
So i have a PS3 Slim CECH3001a and a PS3 Super Slim CECH4001b. Both of them work but the lasers are both bad and instead of fixing them im just going to make my jailbreak my primary console and use the IDS from these consoles just in case i get banned.
I keep finding videos online showing me how to get the idps but no one is showing me how to find it in a hex file. And no one is showing me how to get the psid.
I read online in order to use a new console id i need both a new idps and a matching psid.
I also read that if i really want to i can just use my e3 flasher to dump the nor chip off both these ps3s. I read the 4001b has the same type of chip and that i should be able to dump it just like a slim. Since i already know how to dump the chip i may just do that unless someone knows of a better way or a slightly easier way. I do like to learn new methods. I tried to set up the proxy method but my computer wont run the files in the command prompt for some reason. It just gives me an error.
If anyone can give me some assistance id appreciate it.
Also, i tried to post this where is says ps3 console IDs but it wont allow me to. It says i need to post 100 times before i can post in there. This post will only be my 9th so ive got a ways to go.
