so i asked someone to open and clean my ps3 and to put new thermal on CPU and RSX (GPU) ok ? so my questions are

does it need time so the thermal do his work because the cpu was before from 80c-85c when playing games like gta 5 and the last of us and now it still the same and the RSX was like 62c now its 55c i really don't know whats the problem ?

does the temperature of the city im living in affect my ps3 because my ps3's fan sometime get loud when i play gta 5 and the last of us or PS2 Games ? and the temperatures are : ( my room is not that cold )

Day : 44°

Night : 35°

i had the ps3 for 7 years i didnt clean it or change the thermal ( which then i did before 2 weeks )

My ps3 model : CECHL04

if you have webman that is the speeds, if you have no fan mods at all then that means your heat sinks are off but as its happening in games and you have webman that is normal, next, you own a fat console, so you gotta expect it to run around 55 - 80 degrees though it your fan is loud it shouldn't be above 70 on a hot day, thats C not F, and when i say hot day i mean 30 - 40c and high humitiy, but if the console is getting hotter then it was before then its possible that your got shit thermal paste, though i have ran a console that had no thermal paste for months with nothing but a 12v fan mod and it never over heated but never would recommend that ever its not good for the cpu or gpu, point is, if its getting hot find out if the issue is the motherboard, the psu or the paste, some consoles get hotter then others even with the same board i don't know why but it happens. this might be incorrect but my slim that kept getting ylod the motherboard got so hot that you couldn't touch it while using with normal fan speed but my other one it is only warm unless you put your hand on a chip, but thats off topic, point is, theres a number of reason your consoles could be getting hot, maybe its just poor ventilation, Example. if you have your console against the wall where the vents are it tends to get hotter as the hot air gets pocketed at the back with little rising up fast enough making console quite hot. though i would sugest trying to get the consoles temps in game below 70 as highest and if the console ever has had the YLOD or heat damage below 60, i once had a console that wouldn't work if it got over 55 c so the YLOD is nasty even if its only light

i dont have webman or any fan mods and the fan go loud when i play games that has good graphics you know like gta 5 and the last of us and uncharted, no my fan is loud and the temp stay between 80c-85c and the weather is so hot and the humidity is like 53%, my ps3 was good before 2 months but i don't know what happened to it, my room is not that cold as i already said, no i put the console in a good spot open from all sides. so do u suggest me to put new thermal on the CPU cuz the GPU is good when playing good graphic games i get from 55c-60c and when i play normal games i get
it like 47c-52c

and the weird thing is when i play ps2 games my fan goes loud

and when i play PS1 Games my CPU is 78c

how can these games get my ps3 hot ?

thanks for your answer

to me it sound's like you have a dymestic fan settings enabled on your cfw, but 80-85 thats hot i turn off my ps3 when the psu gets hot, my living in QLD, Australia it gets quite hot but people that live closer to the eqator such as people in Malaysia tend to get heat issues, but id you have no fan mods then theres a good chance your heat syncs are not sitting flat or the paste is bad, it shouldn't speed up like that but just to be sure, check this first, if on rebug go to rebug tool box and see if your corba and webman are enabled, if not i recommend enabling it then once reboots go to the webman settings if it shows up, then turn on dymstic fan then set manual now set 45% now if this is 2 loud drop the speed till its a little loud but not too loud, then play a game for 30 mins and record the temp, If you have a fan be sure to put it on the console i do it alot as my room get really hot as well and its not even summer yet, but if fan speed increase still going faster after maul set on both the standard and ps2 and reaching high temps then you will need to try changing your paste, chances are it was not aplided properly or its cheap and nasty, i have arctic silver 5 and use console at 45% fan speed and on a hot day console still shuts off time to time, i don't have heat issues though. if none of that works then i recommend modifying the consoles case, possibly changing thee cooling system and making an external psu, only need to do external psu in worst of cases, with the nand models it was the leading cause of the YLOD making the console like an oven and with the nor modals they just have poor ventilation and shit heat syncs

sorry about the mistakes up there but i don't make any effort to fix the mistakes, when i use my laptop the words jumble them self's up when i touch the pad

no i didn't enable any fan settings and if its already enabled tell where i can find the option, and i'm enabling Cobra but not webman (does cobra get my ps3 hotter ? ), and yes the CPU is always high when playing PS3 or PS2 or PS1 Games or when idle in XMB it must be from 72c-85c

If you have a drill bit I can send you a link to a simple case mod that'll keep your console temp low.
