try to make a png into a .dat file then try use a edat resigner and encrypt the ,dat into a .edat file, that might work, then rename the picture to another avatar and it might work, but i doubt it

I'm positive you cannot make custom avatars, the closest thing to it would be replacing your 'me.png', but only you can see that and it resets on boot.

You can download avatars though, there's a collection of them on here with 2200+, if it interests you you could check it out?

my xmb default image for people with original avatar is the inside of my xbox360, and i have it set so everyone is the same colour that way it loads faster and it really does
As for the image he wants it so people can see it but idk if its possible to make it see able as the edat is also the licence to the image, my idea was to create a .dat and use the info from a existing image to get it to work on console but issue is much like the xbox people will see the other image not the custom one, though might be able to make on and have it submitted on a site like consolekings or something, trickshotters do it all the time, if you do that it gets published and sold as an official avatar

I have decrypt one of the EDAT and I found out that the image is in DAT extension. I fount a DAT viewer and it work. I tried to convert my image to DAT then when I view it using the same tool it gives an error.

use RAF converter you will also need to edit it with the size of the normal icon cant just pull a image and place it there

You can make your own avatar, but on one on PSN will be able to see it

dude that is not right that was before 4 years when avatars was PNGs now they are Edats add me: oQe and see my avatar
