Reason for asking is cause iv downloaded a Dex mod menu so should I just replace the cex mod menu with the Dex one time?

best reason to be on dex is you can't install ofw lol, but there is the rare case where the console gets stuck between cex and dex and if you change hdd the console has a fit and doesn't wanna accept a dex or a cex update(will eventually if put the effort), but thats not something to worry about for you, next reason is the debug options, the ability to easily use sprx menus without a bit of modification and theres better support on a lot of mod tools if your into that, when sony release updates you won't need to update and you can change the consoles region which is good for accessing some content you couldn't normally view or use.

CEX is recommended to be used for new people, then later on they should convert to DEX in order to use the console to it's fullest potential.

DEX console is a developer console. Cex is more just modding. So it depends on you. Are you gonna be just modding or are you gonna be making mods. DEX is the best as most mods are made for it and you dont have to worry about a region for a game as your using a debug eboot which is region free and you get to use tmapi which is much faster then ccapi
