thats incorrect, i have had this issue a few times, 9/10 its caused by hdd swap, bad dex - cex converion or tring to install a firmware you shouldn't have yet, how to fix (go to recovery menu then try install 3.55 regio downrader, it will error, then turn off the console do it again if it fails again, if it errors, put 4.80 rebug on it then do it, if errors, do it again, then go back to 3.55 regero downrader if failed again and then do it again if failed, it will work adventully 90% of the time it is a painful process though, tring to get it to accept, has to be done all in the recovery menu and in a lot of cases you need to swap the hdd and do that but like i said it will work adventurely so long as you didn't install ofw, i usally takes a long time to check the update, in some cases it takes over 20mins to find and allow the update to install and errors, you have wait for it, no short cuts unless you have a flasher and a good backup of your console, when you manage to get one of the 2 to install then you go start to 3.55 unless its the one that managed to install, 7/10 its the downrader that works are the rebug errors twice and the downrader errors once, if swapped hdd stay on 3.55 downrader and swap back then install, may error once, then go to rebug toolbox make sure qa toggle is enabled then install 3.55 regero to get off downrader, after that install what ever you want
