you need to apply new thermal paste, sounds like bad paste to me, if it was working before you pulled it apart and did it straight away then that will be the reason, or you have damaged something but i doubt that

You may be bending the motherboard or the fan is not properly placed. The other thing I could think of it that you are pressing too hard on the NOR/NAND Chip or that it isn't having the right even amount of pressure. I'd just make sure everything is correctly placed and fitted. Take your time, be careful. There is no need to rush the downgrading process.

thats a better answer then what i put, for me thats common sense so i don't really think of that when helping someone. usally when i see it happen its because the heat sinks are not sitting right

I only know this because it happened to me. I was putting too much pressure on one of my consoles motherboards near the NOR Chip area, and the fan speed increased. Then when I released, it decreased.

oh okay makes sense, i got ylod on a console that i was flashing once, what happened was i fell asleep for 12 hours and the rooms was really really hot and i touched the motherboard and it was cooked. thats how i ended up the a console the shut off when it it got over 60 degrees and the fan need to be jump started to turn on the console because it had light ylod and i didn't have the supplys to fix it so i just keep using it till i died and now its sitting waiting to be fixed, but i'm not gonna fix it because after that night i left it on while flashing it the mother board was really soft and bends really easy so no point in fixing it lol. but most people would't fall asleep flashing a console in a really hot room

I worked out the problem, i didn't have the top plate for the motherboard on so i guess something might have been shorting out. Everythings back on track, nor is dumped, patched and currently downgrading
