So I had given my PS3 to my cousins as I was gone for vacation for a couple months and when I came back they told me they couldn't start multiman, psnpatch, or anything else.*

I googled it and I'm assuming my Blu ray drive has fucked up? If I start multiman or psnpatch or anything for that matter it loads into it, then puts me back to the xmb page with an error code.

Although I put in game CDs and play those (can't go online though obviously)*

Just wondering if it truly is the blu ray drive (and if it is, did the ribbon cable just disconnect or has it been completely damaged?) or is this some other issue

They probably updated the ps3 with the internet which removed your jailbreak on your ps3 so now your ps3 is a ofw ps3 and it is console banned

Damn, they fucked up your entire console. I would NEVER let ANYONE touch my custom firmware console, ever. You have now lost your "jailbreak", so you will have to get your console downgraded in order for it to be "jailbroken" again. Also, if you cannot sign into PSN, then you have also been console banned. So, at this point, you have wasted hundreds and hundreds of dollars by giving your console away to children. Hope it was worth it, have fun with your new paper weight!
