(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I just got my jailbroken Fat ps3 80gb model: CECHK01 (That's a zero)

It worked fine when I first got it with no overheating or anything like that, but then I had some bad overheating issues! I was on a 4.80.1 rebug and tried to get the application: IrishMan.

When that didn't work I downgraded my jailbreak to a 4.75 rebug so I could install fan control, so I installed fan control and it did me okay for about two days. After that the only thing I could do is turn my PlayStation on and it will say system overheat.

So I did some looking online and saw somthing about re thermal pasting. So I opened the PS3 up and found that some of the screws were missing inside the PS3. Not any important screws just the screws that weren't important really, but I went into the mother board where the thermal past originally is and I cleaned off all the thermal past on both sides. I then heated the mother board and the panels where the paste goes for about 2 mins.

After I thought they wer heated I applied thermal paste to the top side and spreaders it with a old credit card so it covered the whole surface of the plate. I waited 20 mins or so and put the PS3 back together with the screws that where still there and turned on my PS3 to get the same thing, overheat.

So I just put my jailbreak to the side, unplugged it and put it in my closet, for about two weeks. Today I decided to turn it back on. It overheated once again, but not before I looked at the heat settings thingy. The rsx temp was way down from last time to 40 (before I applied new thermal paste it was like 54) but my CELL ten was still really high at like 88 when I turned it on and 90 when it shit down and it was like two minutes from turning it on that it turned of my PS3.

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything I can do because I have tried everything I feel I need some help..

Climbing up the ladder
cpu chip is fuked ...need to reball...the solder on the phat model ps3s is pretty old and brittle now ...maybee it wasnt heated enough when seperating from the heatsinks at some stage or whatever there are a few reball and reflow tutorials on youtube ...there are methods you can do at home or alternatively find someone who knows how to do this proccess....

PHAT PS3s are considered useless once they become having issues. Just get a slim and downgrade it. You'd be saving a lot of time and resources getting something new, rather than repeatedly repairing something that is broken.
