(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); hello I had an old jailbroken ps3 and when I turned it on it has a screen where it says its auto updating and I tried recovery mode I just don't kno how to get it from doing the update bc idk what update its trying to install anyone have any ideas?

you leave a disc in it? if it was on cex its quite possible you might have. other then that i can't see how it could auto update lol, or maybe you started update and you shut it off for whatever reason and the console is still waiting to have it installed, try a different hdd and see what update it is asking for. easy way to tell what the update is.

yeah what kazr said, might of turned off system while it was installing a FW. A screenshot or pic would help tho

i put the hdd into another ps3 and formatted it and its still jailbroken and it works fine in that ps3 the other ps3 is just messed up really bad im waiting to to try another ps3 soon to see if it was just my ps3 that was bad

hard to say what the issue is without seeing it and trying a few quick test, try the hdd in the ps3 again and see what update it askes for, then turn off console and install in recovery menu, though may error a few times but messing with different updates works most the time when it errors, but if it prompts a update try 3.55 downrader cex or dex even both lol. from the recovery menu install it though not the main screen, if nothing seems to work try ofw then reflash if that worked, formating hdd or swaping will stop most loops or starting then failing issues, swapping the hdd is better because then once done you can swap back to the other one and keep your stufuff
