Thing is, this didn't happen last year. I somewhat recently bought a new external hard drive since the old one got stolen, and ever since then this message pops up every few minutes. If I reject it just allows me to keep playing, but the damn thing appearing every 2-3 minutes is way too annoying, and it's downright gamebreaking sometimes.

Anyone know how I can fix this?

I'd recommend installing 4.80.1 Rebug REX.

Yeah man. Install rebug 4.80.1. And you should convert to DEX afterwards

I normally recommend PS3ITA for DEX. But since this guy doesn't have a clue on how to use a Custom Firmware, Rebug is best for him as there isn't much you can do with it.

So how do I go from Rogero 4.46 to Rebug 4.80? Do I downgrade to 3.55 and jump directly to Rebug 4.80 or is there something else I need to do?

Well it depends what kind rebug you want too be on if you want to go to the common Rebug Dex then your gonna have to convert from Cex to Dex before going to rebug dex.
