Hello NGU, I've been having problems getting online and after changing the HDD on my PS3.
I changed out my PS3's HDD recently to a 500gb drive that I originally came from my PS4 and was swapped into my OFW PS3 before I swapped it to my CFW PS3 for more storage of collection of ISO files. I reinstalled my firmware (4.80.1 Rebug D-Rex), did all the set up stuff (that you do on an OFW system) and reinstalled the following home brew applications: Mutiman, CCAPI, PSNinja, PSPatch and Rebug toolbox. I ran them like I usually did before I upgraded my HDD, then proceeded to add one of my dummy accounts to the system.
The problems:
When I try to add the account to the system. I press the "Sign up" app, reach the blue screen with two options "Create a New Account (New Users)" and "Use an Existing Account" when ever I press either of the buttons, the outline of the option flashes and does that for a minute and then says "The connection to the server timed out". I did this exact same thing on OFW system with the same account and had no issues signing it in there.
When ever I try to download updates for the games I play, none are ever found and I never get any prompts to download updates on games I haven't yet played on the system since I swapped the HDD's. This never happened before.
I attempted to downgrade my system back to 3.55 and then re-install my firmware, It gives me the message "update not supported" I swapped to DEX and CEX and attempted to use the DEX and CEX downgraders. No luck. I never had these issues before the HDD swap.
What I have tried to fix my problem:
I google searched it already, didn't seem to get anything relevant to my issue.
I ran both the quick and full format on my HDD
I re-started my system several times and did the same of my router. Ruled out internet issues via other devices having no internet issues.
I attempted to re-install my firmware. I was unable to with what I attempted.
Anyone have any idea what I can do?
In rebug toolbox, system information, the target type is the console region you are currently on (CEX or DEX)
If you are currently sitting on CEX:
1. Install
You must login or register to view this content.
2. Once on the downgrader, download install and run
You must login or register to view this content. on your ps3
3. Install
You must login or register to view this content.
4. Once on rebug 4.75.1, download, install and run Arch's 4.80 spoofer
You must login or register to view this content. on your ps3
5. Click yes and enable, at the end allow it to full restart if it asks..
This will spoof your firmware version to match that of sony's current official firmware, which is currently 4.80
Set your internet up and try to sign in or whatever..
If you are currently sitting on DEX:
1. Install
You must login or register to view this content.
2. Once on the downgrader, install
You must login or register to view this content.
You may need to spoof on DEX..
download and install
You must login or register to view this content. to your ps3
Open Senenabler app on your ps3, go to PSN/SEN options, enable sen access and allow it to hard reboot in the end.
Now, when you switch to DEX, your console id is all fucked up.
Go to XMB/settings/debug settings:
Np Environment : np
Release Check Mode : Development Mode
Boot Mode : Release mode
Network Settings : Single Settings
in rebug toolbox, change activePS3id to (yes, CEX) (or vice versa) to see if it changes your ability to sign in
or
Change beginning digits of your CID from 000000010082000 to 000000010084000
and maybe set ccapi to autoboot you with that cid?
I hope i haven't missed anything. Let us know if you need any more help.
GL!
