You'll want CCAPI, Multiman, PSNinja and Webman just for starters.

Multiman tends to fuck up or at least it did for me when I first started modding which was about two in a half years ago, I usually use Irisman but I do frequently switch back and forth. Whatever floats your boat.

where is the best place to get a e3 from ive looked on ebay and amazon so far

if i wher you i would buy a already jailbroken PS3 or send your current one into someone to be jailbroken, it is usually safer than doing yourself if you arent experiened, also have you made sure your PS3 is able to be downgraded to 3.55? if it isnt then there is no point getting an e3 lol

for homebrew i would recomened webman for loading games, multiman for doing file management etc and rebug toolbox and CCAPI so you can RTM and manage console IDs etc with a computer. others can be PSNinja PSNPatch ISRISHMAN if Mutiman is giving you problems. plus some other assorted homebrew for customizing ps3
