Post: Bricked PS3(s)

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Right, so let me start off by saying I'm a downgrader / jailbreaker for ps3s, I've just bricked my second ps3 tonight, it was flashing back the patched dump, got a quarter of the way and then the ps3 just randomly turned off by its-self and therefore got ylod. (This is a slim CECH-2003A).

I have my other bricked one that I tried fixing but I'm a bit stuck... I found YT videos and written tuts saying that you can solder a bit of wire from the NOR tristate to the ground point on the motherboard. Apparently, this makes the ps3 stay turned on when you boot it up, so that you can re-flash back the patched dump. Now, I tried this on my motherboard but it still has ylod... This is a slim CECH-2003A. And the motherboard model is DYN-001. I watched a YT video of someone doing a tutorial who had the exact same problem as me, and same motherboard but I still had no luck, even googling images of where to find the NOR tristate and ground points. I've soldered gage 22 wire to the NOR tristate and ground point but it doesn't stay on, still gets ylod?? Anyone able to help?

Picture of where the points are for my motherboard:

As you can see, I'm pretty sure I have the right points

If you still have ylod after soldering tristate to NOR, then you either have the wrong points or something is actually broken.

I can tell you that you have the tristate point correct, not sure about the ground, i usually use a thin flexible wire long enough to just stick into the fan plug ground..
I don't recommend to unsolder/resolder a whole lot..
