1. You need a ps3 that can be downgraded. Look on the back of your ps3 n look for the barcode

If it says CECH-2501A or anything below. Generally it can be jailbroken

3001a or super slims are a no go


2.you would next need to know if its a Nor or nand console. Most tend to be

You finally need to be comfortable with taking your ps3 apart. As thats the only way to do it unless your ps3 already on 3.55

if i was you ill just buy one on amazon or ebay i wont risk opening up the ps3
