If you can get to recovery mode, try to install this

or this

one of them should work for you
If that doesn't work, try option "restore ps3 system"
This will format the hdd and wipe everything (games, saves etc)
When it is finished, you will be brought to a black screen, asking for your last syscall(last cfw installed)
reinstall your cfw, or a downgrader and then your cfw
If your ps3 freezes when selecting any options in recovery mode, you can assume the hdd is corrupt and will need to be replaced with any 2.5" sata hdd.
If you cannot get to recovery mode, then something is damaged or corrupt..
At that point you could try a new 2.5" sata hdd..
if that doesn't help, your flash may be corrupt..
You could flash a good backup to the console (if you have one..), if that doesn't help then I would assume the console overheated or an internal component popped or fried. fatal.
Let us know if you have any luck. If you need any more help, just ask.
