Download whatever CFW you are on from the internet and then grab a usb, create a folder on the usb named "PS3" inside that folder make another folder named "UPDATE" and inside that folder you put you .PUP file. Rename the .PUP file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" exclude all "" in instructions. Then plug your usb into your ps3 and head over to system software update, from usb, boom it should find the update. Also don't forget this: Make sure to remove any disc from the console before updating.

no you shouldn't if your ps3 was already jailbroken
