(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So my PS3 didn't have "Install Package Files" for some unknown reason and I read somewhere that you have to reinstall your CFW to get it back.
I went into recovery mode and selected option 5 (can't remember what it's called) but it didn't come up asking me to reinstall my firmware.
It just deleted all of my Home Brews. I'm on 4.80 Rebug DEX if that's any help.

Instead of trying to use recovery mode:

On the XMB, second column from the left, at the top, select option "update system".

When it opens, you will be prompted asking to do the update through a "usb device" or "from internet". Select option "from usb device". Do not select "from internet".

Your usb flash drive should be in the rightmost usb port of the ps3, with folder structure as PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP. Follow the prompt and install your cfw.
