The CID Glitch/Exploit has been patched, meaning you have to use VALID cids now GENERATED ONES WILL NOT WORK.
if you are using a Valid CID and still getting this error, it could be because your CID is set to DEX mode instead of CEX mode

On Tuesday December 20, I managed to update my rebug from 4.80 to 4.81 and was able to login to PSN/GTA online, 4:00 AM Pacific Canada, turned off my PS3 at 6:00AM

Wednesday, December 21, 7:00 PM Pacific, everything was going smooth at first, booted game with multi-man, Ps ninja, PSN patcher, was able to login to the PSN until I went on to GTA, went to the online section.. and I noticed it said "Files required to play GTA Online could not be downloaded from the Rockstar Games Service" didn't really think anything of it... other than probably server issues,until I notice I saw my other friends online, non CFW playing GTA Online.... Scratching my head.... I started to research online on the issue, and people in videos and on forums where stating it's your Internet connections, and it could be that you're having failed issues connecting to rock stars servers cause of it.

So I did a little troubleshooting, I went into the network settings, Internet connection test (wired connections) in the cfw ps3, where I noticed something bizarre, it said 'obtain IP address, successful'
but as soon as I saw 'Internet connections, failed' I couldn't believe it , This doesn't make any sense. how was I able to login to PSN still, and under the Internet options it's saying ''Internet connections failed''? there is no other Internet connections other than my home modem in the basement. shortly after it would show my IP address at the bottom.. and still was able to login to the PSN.

So I did a little more research and it said that it could be my DNS needed changing, so I grabbed a Google DNS 8888/8844 ,it still kept on saying 'Internet connections failed' was still able to login to my PSN despite it kept on saying it. Downfall was I couldn't play GTAOnline. So I left it for the next day


Thursday, December 22 1:00 a.m. Pacific, I was thinking GTA was having some issues, but regardless my other friends was able to login with their non-CFW, so I booted back my CFW Ps3, did the every day routine, and then I tried to sign in to PSN to get a ''8002A224'' error.

Did some information searching of this error.

1. Could be your CID is Banned, but I would've got the message, Banned or suspended message instead of '8002A224' probably they're investigating?

2. Invalid CID, I'm assuming the CID grabber/changer is not working anymore, thus, not enable us to login. Still no investigation on that yet.

seems like Generated CID is not working anymore, but that still wouldn't explain why some people that have purchased New CID isn't working still keeping posted

3.ReBug Tools Box adjustment, I'm using DEX Mode, change system mode to 'REBUG', swap LV2 kernel to CEX, change active PS3ID to EID5: 84 (CEX) , but no luck, it works for some people but not for me it seems.

I will update, if I come across anything more...

At the bottom on Facebook comments, some people are recently getting this error also.

it is not down at all like always the newbs dont look through threads before asking questions you obviously used a fake cid or the private cid you was using is probs banned

Thank you for the reply nightmare, I know it's long to read but I did not state anything about it being down, the only thing I have done is use Psn ninja, with PSN patcher, and during the issue. I have tried some method with rebug tools with no avail

New or professional, this problem seems to be rising after December 20, again thank you for replying

Tried almost 10 cid but no luck.

Thank you very much, I shall put this with my updates, it's safe to assume that this is the problem we're facing.

Same happen to me im trying to log into my paystation rebug dex 4.80 version and i search on youtube last night i did wat ppl does when recieving that error code on the psn to sign in now today i try sign in and i couldnt cuz igues generators cid they been patch out now iguess we need to but cid as the only way ur console runs from dex to cex so now were just in pain in the but cuz patches over reasons i try everything and nun i cant sign in at all im just buy a cid by dex version today cuz i try my one i was ban and it send the cid was ban soo iguess i need cid private on dex version wich idk if they can just sent help and explain cuz this is nuts tho i was trying to play gta v and nun i cant sign in to it its bad now that we need to buy spent money now that patches omg i cant believe this tho well good luck for anyone over if they get lucky.!
