I presume you're on ITA, considering what update you're on. Could you be willing to update to 4.65/4.66 DEX?

1. Download your cfw of choice. Rename the file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" (no quotes)
2. On the root of a fat32 formatted usb flash drive, create a folder named "PS3"
3. Inside the "PS3" folder, create a folder named "UPDATE"
4. Inside the "UPDATE" folder, place your "PS3UPDAT.PUP"

folder structure should be fat32formattedusbflashdrive/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP

5. Insert the flash drive into the rightmost usb port of your ps3

6. On the XMB, at the top of the second column from the left, select option "System Update", select "from usb device". Do not select "from internet".
(alternatively, boot ps3 into recovery mode and select "system update")

7. Follow prompt and install

Remember, never install an official sony firmware higher than 3.55, and if you are trying to install a firmware that is LOWER than the one you are currently on, you must first install a downgrader firmware, and then the lower cfw of choice.
CEX downgrader You must login or register to view this content.
DEX downgrader You must login or register to view this content.
