Post: I can't unbrick my half dual boot PS3, 3 beeps and shutdown

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello,

I have CECHL04 and E3 Flasher. I was using both REBUG 4.80 and OFW 4.80. I didn't use solder to use dual boot, I just flashed REBUG NOR backup and OFW NOR backup from time to time and changed the hdds.

Recently I updated REBUG to 4.81 first. Then I flashed the OFW 4.80 NOR backup to switch to OFW and update the OFW to 4.81 too. After I flash the backup and connecting the OFW hdd, system didn't boot. When I power up the system, after a few seconds PS3 shows a yellow light and after immediately a red light with 3 beeps, blinking. In the past, I unbricked my console 2 times. But this time, with the same setup, I can't.

I don't use solder, I fix my wire from SBE to Tristate with tape. I checked the wire and tried several times, but I couldn't unbrick. What could be the problem? Did the residue of the tape cover the wire and Tristate point so Flash Fun mode not working? If so, how can I clean the wire and the solder point? With contact cleaner?

I'll be glad if you could answer me quickly.

Best regards.

Unfortunately it doesn't sound like there is anything anyone can do, if even soldering the tristate to a ground doesn't work..

why not just get a new wire?

Can't imagine you are getting a good connection trying to tape a wire to the tristate..

to clean a solder point, i suppose you would resolder it..

it sounds like your ps3 is fucked or you need to try to solder.
