I would stick with a more updated version of the D-REX Rebug firmware. Something like 4.78, 4.80 will do you fine. Bare in mind you will need a 4.81 Spoofer to go along with those firmwares.

You might. Not sure, but when I upgraded my PS4'S hdd, I had to install the firmware via usb.

Always go with the most updated one, but the latest firmware doesn't have everything released just yet. I'd suggest to stick around 4.75 - 4.78 DEX/CEX
