Nice work, thanks for sharing this. I've collected PSN avatar packs before, and converting the DAT files in bulk was always the annoying part. Surprisingly, nobody had released a simple batch tool sooner.
Out of curiosity, did you notice whether any of the "broken" EDATs correspond to avatars that were actually available on PSN, or are they just corrupted files from the source dump? It would be interesting to know if any rare or unreleased avatars are hiding in that
