There are about 9000 unencrypted files, other devs now can take a look at those files which also include java binaries, shader files, lua scripts and more interesting in-game executables. These files can help us better understand PS3 games and the PS3 network structure.

So where are the "exploits"? PS3 games run still in a sandbox and don't have direct access to kernel modules and other high level access but since the introduction of in-game XMB there may be holes which devs can search for and use in-game exploits to break the wall. Those could be in a appearance of RSX attacks or some new holes in the in-game XMB structure.

Unpacks the .BAR files from both Beats (for PSP) and the Home beta (for PS3).

To get the .BAR files for Home, go to [ You must login or register to view this content. ]. If you're in a web browser that doesn't suck (e.g. Firefox) you'll see a page with links to all the files included in the Home Beta 0.86 update, including all the .BAR files.

To use this program, just drag/drop a .BAR file onto the .EXE, or run it from your command prompt/shell with the .BAR file as the argument.

I can't guarantee it'll work ALL the time, but it seems to work OK with the Home Beta 0.86 files. It can correctly identify the following:

* Various types of XML files used by Home
* Unicode XML files
* Java classes
* MIG, PNG, and TGA images
* MP3 and VAG audio
* Lua scripts (almost all the time)
* Autocad .DRW files
* Havok physics files
* Shaders
* Scene packs
* .DDS textures
* Home model files

It renames the following unknown types:
* mr04
* fd05
* sk08
* agf
* klBS
* tsld
* ÿÿÿÿ, ÿû, PRÿ (named after the first few characters in this type of file)

All this work your doing to try to get the home beta is worthless, I am in the beta and its really not that great. And .86 isnt even the latest version its .98
