soo, looks like sony have shot themselfs in the foot, they have virtually speeded up the hacking of the playstaion 3.

I think u should think again about this and save yourselves a lot of grief and just get the OtherOS feature back into business, i am only 17 and i have more sense than the whole Sony team put together, even a hobo on the street wouldnt remove features from a product, shame on u sony, its like buying an iPod and removing its function to play music. Please Sony think about it from our perspective bring the OtherOS back and my loyalty to Sony will also come back.

i think a ps3 is ok as long as it plays ps3 games and can get online so i can watch movies.. i think people NOT upgrading and stuff like that and pretty much cut off their online capabilities are being ignorant. its not worth it. this guy isnt that good. i dont know what your expecting to happen, you play games for free? you can get on a ghetto OS and do almost everything that u can on a normal computer. and if you bought the ps3 just to use linux. im sorry but your an idiot. just use the system for what it was intended and play good games. ffxiii, gow3, heavy rain, mw2 ect. they dont require linux... stop complaining about such nonsence, update ur systems, and stop following this geohot religiously and live ur life

Yeah it's sorta like that.... But not at all.
I'm not happy about it being removed, but I don't think its rant worthy. It's just like xbox removing voice chat because people now use party chat instead. It's a little used feature which not many people were making use of, on the other hand it was being use to exploit the console.
I just won't update, use the quick fix. If something doesnt get worked out, I won't be that bothered. That way I can still play online, and still use yellow dog.
