Here's the best solution (imo) It cost me about 26$ for the setup, and the adapter I bought works for both ps3 and Xbox 360
What I bought:
Smartjoy Frag (PS2)
Ps2 To 360/PS3 Adapter
Two USB to Ps/2 Adaptors

I got everything from ebay and It cost me roughly 26$

I can see the mouse being helpful but not the keyboard really, that would piss me off. I guess I'm a controller guy :p

I bought this controller called a FRAGnStein, it combines a mouse with a nunchuck type controller thing. Works very well for me. Here's a link to it on Amazon.
