What does this do?

This program will automatically build and install a compiler and other
tools used in the creation of homebrew software for the Sony Playstation 3
videogame system.

How do I use it?
==================

1) Set up your environment by installing the following software:

autoconf, automake, bison, flex, gcc, make, ncurses, patch, subversion, terminfo, wget

2) Add the following to your login script:

export PS3DEV=/usr/local/ps3dev
export PATH=$PATH:$PS3DEV/bin
export PATH=$PATH:$PS3DEV/ppu/bin
export PATH=$PATH:$PS3DEV/spu/bin

3) Run the toolchain script:

./toolchain.sh

Backup your hdd with an external HD, I've done it. IF thats what you mean by backups aren't possible.

ya know HOMEBREW usually allows u to play games you have downloaded or copied to a disk...did you not know that...

Ya. I doubt if there EVER will be any Homebrew... its been 4 years.. almost 5 now and nothing to write home about yet. Sony really made sure they had tight security this time.

yeah they did but they just found a clever way to hide things thats all.. someone will hack it just give it a little more time its very much possible because its just a machine...

Yeah, i hope your right. But Sony has their own Hackers they hire, just to try to break the security, and everytime we get somewhere theres a patch..
