(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok, So I'm making a new lag switch, and people always say that the longer the ethernet cord, the longer the lag, is that true? and also im using a diffrent type of ethernet cord its a white cat.5e does that matter?

I've never made a lag switch myself but I would assume that a longer Ethernet cable would make a difference, but only by a few milliseconds considering how fast the internet is now. To make a noticeable difference you would have to use a significant amount of cable and this would be expensive and a waste of money.
