My question is, if I don't Install or Use backup manager, and just experiment with installing custom game patches (MW2/COD4). Can Sony still catch you? Sony will find a way to stop you, it will cost them Millions, if game developers are developing games for a system that has security flaws that isn't in there control, they will sue Sony because their games will be ruined..

The other thing they will (probarly do is) block the Jig itself. So don't waist your money yet. Cause you use the patches you have to us the Jig.

But to Sony use their own JIGs, so if they tried to block the JIG they'd have to somehow completely, rewrite how the PS3 boots.

Most I think they could do is to block LAUN12345 (Backup Manager) from launching and/or logging who launches it and banning the console.

This is just the beginning I'm sure someone will write a "Stealth Patch" or something to rename the Back-Up Manager to fool Sony. to answer your question if your offline I'm pretty sure you can't be detected but if your online that's a different story SONY will find a way to detect your files, Microsoft did it trust me SONY can too.

Well you see. I just want it to experiment with PKGs. I don't plan on even installing Backup Manager. So I don't see how I can be banned if I'm only playing around with Debug Settings...
