But what i want to know is, the xbox 360 has a jtag chip that can do all kinds of crazy mods (mainly what im looking for is MW2 mods) however i don't know of any for the PlayStation. Can anyone tell me of where to find/buy one?

Im not to sure about that yet! The only reason I say that is because im not sure what resources the Server uses.

Running unsigned code has been proven just by the back up manager, It is a program that doesnt have sonys sig on it and it is running on the ps3.

Yes it can run unsigned code, but it is not an updated game.... We don't know if one can update it and run it via the manager online.
I honestly expect an update on the 30th/31st to kill it. Will not stop me from buying one though.

I believe as long as you download the update with the Original disk, and then try to go online with the backup it will work just fine.
The reason I say this is because all game updates are saved to the Ps3 hd, and the ps3 is being fooled to think that the game is in the drive, but its actually running of the hdd.
