PS3Hax member, keytor69, has released a stealth version of the backup manager with tricks your PS3 in showing the backup manager as Modern Warfare 2,
so now you can play online without the risk of a ban (until Sony throws a mandatory firmware update anyways).
There still may be other ways to detect the dongle/backup manager being ran – but the cat and mouse games have began and we hackers will always run that risk when playing online.

You never got banned anyway, you would just sue sony if they did as they legally cannot do that.

Well, they weren't 'legally' allowed to pull otherOS yet they did it, what's more this doesn't stop you from being banned they, in theory, could know as soon as you connect online after you have been using the exploit, by a 'POSSIBLE' log of recent JIG connections?

I don't understand any of these post saying "It is illegal for Sony to ban you".

Cause they can ban you legally for whatever they want. It is the same as microsoft, yes I know two different companies but same difference. Online gaming is a "privilage" (so they say). That they offer.

They don't have to offer it at all. On that, how can it be illegal for them to ban you from something they are required to give you.

On the Other OS. It wasn't illegal for them to remove. (Very very very unethical) But not illegal in any way. (Cause they techinically gave you the option) Which of course really wasn't an option.

Please don't take the post wrong, not ment to flame..And I "Do NOT" support Sony removing the other os. That was complete and utter BS how they did us.

Illegal in Europe not any other countries, they can't remove features from your ps3 for no good reason
