(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok everyone is going crazy about the hack atm, and rightly so, but i think we are getting a bit ahead of ourselves or am i missing a part of the picture. Sure it works atm, but can't sony just do a firmware update so that it stops the USB from glitching and letting the hack work. Yeah you could use hoembrew on an offline console if you didn't update, but you wouldn't be able to play online. Anyway, someone let me know.

Do a barrel roll!
Sony probably will make an update to prevent it in the future, they obviously don't want people playing pirated games

Im wondering if its possible to run infection mods via LAN, ive connected 2 PS3s - 1 offline 1 online & works fine. If there is such a possible exploit then itd be 100% safe

I just had a thought... probably completley impossible, but i wouldn't know. Might it be possible to trick the PS3 into thinking it has the latest firmware version so that we don't have to update to play online... if we now have full access to the PS3 hardware (do we?), i can't see how this wouldn't be possible unless you need some secret key that only sony know to trick PSN into thinking we are up to date.

I was thinking somewhat of the same thing. Seeing as we in a way do have full access to the console now, we should be able to modify just about anything.....Eek

well didnt the psjailbreak supposedly block all updates while still playing online?? last time i checked that is what it was able to do. but if im wrong correct me. or cant we block updates because we are using psgroove or psfreedom which are just the extracted files from the psjailbreak. do you think the way psjailbreak was able to block patches with some special piece inside the dongle which is why the psfreedom and psgroove cant block updates? sorry just running my mind Smile
