Bypass PS3 Firmware + Game Updates via Proxy
______________________________________________
----How to use:

1) Simply run ps3proxy.exe
2) Change your PS3 network settings to point to your computer's LAN ip (default port: 8080)
Optionally in PS3 network settings, set the primary DNS to your router's IP for full potential

----How to Bypass Game Updates?
1) Create a shortcut to ps3proxy.exe
2) Right Click on the shortcut-> Properties-> Add this at the end of the target line: -u

NOTE: Bypass Game Updates option is BETA. It works, but it will sign you out.
Should still be good for applying hacks though.

----How to Change Port?
1) Create a shortcut to ps3proxy.exe
2) Right Click on the shortcut-> Properties-> Add this at the end of the target line: -port 1234

Change 1234 to whatever port you want, or see the example I left: "Example - Change Port (8081)"

----Missing MSWINSCK.OCX?
Just go into included folder \Register MSWINSCK.OCX\ and run "Register MSWINSCK.OCX.bat"

I'm getting runtime error - address in use.
when I try and open the proxy.

the file you have to register i'm getting the error.

can you give a staight up link, or a mirror, im having truble with MU today. if it is MU, i cant connect.

obviously sony disabled support to bypass, so this no longer works on 3.41
i've been playing with hex editing the PUP files that get authed to see if i can budge success

that's because you already had a proxy server running on port 8080, you can easily change the port by adding -port <port#> at the end of the target line.

This doesnt work at ALL!!!!!....it fails over and over!...I even used my OWN real IP numbers and my DNS, I tried to use that custom DNS also it doesnt matter what I do!...this thing is USELESS it fails and keeps telling me to update the firmware!...X___X WTF NONE of this helps me at all I went through the steps word for word! And no I cannot calm down and I wont....I dont care how long it takes I will never allow it to update...mys sytem has been screwed too many times in the past I cannot allow Sony to win. I'm on 4.31 I did NOT update to 42...it is telling me to though I am TRYING to bypass this ****.
