Well if you've FW 3.42 on the PS3, you can forgot it.
They patched jailbreaking with that new Firm Ware.

You'll have to wait to jailbreak 3.42. Hackers are still tinkering with this 3.41 firmware. It'll be a while before 3.42 is jailbroken if it is at all. But just look around this forum or check out the compatible devices if you're wanting to jailbreak a 3.41 PS3.
