1)Install this You must login or register to view this content.

2)Hold down the button and attach the PIC-USB-4550 to the PC keeping the button held down.you can release it when it asks for the driver.

3)When it asks for the Driver point it to C:\Microchip Solutions\USB Tools\MCHPUSB Custom Driver\MCHPUSB Driver\Release

4)To Program the chip use C:\Microchip Solutions\USB Tools\Pdfsusb\PDFSUSB.exe

5)Load your hex file You must login or register to view this content. (use the 20mhz)

6)When it asks about the config being different select NO it will then flash the chip.

7)Thats it..Now attach it to the PS3 and power cycle then turn the PS3 on and press the eject button immediately now you can place backup manager or any other pkg file on a USB stick and attach it to the PS3 and select install packages.
