Climbing up the ladder
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); It seems everywhere I check the websites are either a scam or have terrible service and a shoddy record. I checked the seller list on the official PSjailbreak site, and it seems a lot of the sites listed are shutdown, non-existent, scams, or have simply stopped selling the device.

If I am going to drop $130+ on something like this, it would be nice to buy from a site that is actually legit.

Anybody have any recommendations? I know there is several people on this site that have a PSJB, so I am wondering where I could get one and not get ripped off/scammed.

I checked that site (was one of the first I looked at) and apparently Sony won some court battle and now it is illegal to sell/import it in Australia.

Of all the sites I have checked this seems the most 'legit' from what I can tell. And the price ($108 USD) isn't bad at all.

Thanks! Although I have to admit, all these clones and such are confusing the hell out of me!

When will the PS3Liberator be available? I found some website from searching google, but is is completely foreign. Do you know the link to the official site? Cause PS3news doesn't have it linked (that I can find).

Get a third-party PSGroove port?
Cheaper and probably better in the long run.

Where do I even buy one of those? I personally can't find anywhere that sells them.

You don't really. The Minimus went for sale so I guess you can try that, other than that you can run it off a device that PSFreedom has been ported to it.

Can’t trickshot me!
Yea you can get them from ebay... but if you search say the AT90USBKEY... the average price is around $90 as everywhere is sold out. so making a homemade psjailbreak is getting to the price of just buying one.

Just gotta wait for a week or two for stocks to replenish and buy a compatible board from somewhere like farnell for $35.

Ok, after a bit of research and looking around, I found out exactly what I wanted to find out. And will share my findings just in case there is anybody else out there confused about this whole thing as I was. I thought my head was going to explode searching through all these forums, websites etc and all the info about all the different types and clones.. and boards... and loaders! I had no idea where to start! So anyway, here is the easy way.

1. Get yourself a Teensy USB Development Board
You must login or register to view this content.

I found one on eBay for $55. It is a ATMEGA32U4 (standard Teensy, not the ++). The ++ is a AT90USB1286 which works too, just more expensive.

Here is Teensy's site for reference. They are cheaper there, but out of stock. So get one from ebay or elsewhere if you can find it cheaper.

2. Follow this tutorial.

    https://www.ps3-hacks.com/2010/09/07/psgroove-teensy-tutorial/

That's it! The tut is real easy to follow and provides PSgroove files for both the Teensy ATMEGA32U4 and AT90USB1286 boards. Props to PS3-hacks.com for supplying such a thing!
