You know those games that require updates to play them e.g: MW2. What if we replaced the firmware on the disk with a lower firmware? it could work if we edit the .PUP or something...

There are just times when you want to smash you PS3 and Sony with a sledge hammer. The amount of things that are put in place in order to stop us from hacking it is unbelieveable. Money well spent on security on Sony's half.

ok, first off i play xbox so i know abit about it, the firmware is stored on the nand? im not sure but whatever im just throwing ideas, on xbox with Jtags if you bodge the flash you can bridge two pins on the nand to erease it all, if you get someone with the firmware you want to be on to copy theyre firmware and send it to you, then maybe you could flash that firmware to your ps3?

and yes a few people do know but i dont think its released to the public.. i think its got something todo with the FTP or something :S
