And now the homebrew starts… First up: CJPC releases a shitty FTP
You must login or register to view this content.for your PS3.
PS3 FTP Server Features:
- Full Read/Write access to all of “dev_hdd0″ (including save areas, games, VM etc)
- Full Read/Write access to “dev_flash2″ and “dev_flash3″
- Full Read/Write access to connected usb devices
- Full Read access to “dev_flash”
- Full Read access to “dev_bdvd”
Installation is straightforward: Load the “PS3-FTP-Server.pkg” to a mass storage device,
You must login or register to view this content.that device to your PS3, and use “Install Package Files” from your hacked PS3′s XMB.
How to use it: Grab your favourite FTP client and connect to your PS3′s IP address. Username is “FTPD12345″ and you may use whatever password you like.
Be careful: CJPC notes that some of the flash contents are writeable.
Limitations:
- Cannot write to dev_flash
- Cannot rename files
- Buggy as hell (randomly crashes, blame Sony!)
- Files > 4GB increments show incorrect sizes; for example a 6GB file shows as 2GB, or a 11GB file shows as 3GB. It will download, well past 100%, just let it keep going.
