i think "hell ya it will be coming out for 3.42".
its like this remember the iphone you jailbreak it and apple updates and locks it up, then few weeks later again PWND by geo hotz or some other hackers out there.
so sony updates and BOOM! few weeks or days later someone will PWN the ps3. thats how it will always be. nothing is forever.

It's only a matter of time until they find a way to hack the newer firmwares because nothing is eternally unhackable. As others have said, they should definitely wait until firmware 3.50 is released.
The only people who have the right to complain about that are the people who unlocked it legitimately. To my knowledge, no one has, so it's fair game.
