***NOTE: this is not my guide all credit goes to newgen2005***

The way I did it on Windows 7 (64bit):

A real quick for people on a PC who don't want to use Linux.

Sorry I wasn't allowed to post links to the items below at this time!

Download: iPhoDroid_1SHOT_R13i_3G_PC.zip--> You must login or register to view this content.

Download: PSFreedom for Apple iPhone 2G or 3G-->You must login or register to view this content. (now working backup manager)

Download: Filezilla (has to b filezilla)-->filezilla-project.org/

Config Filezilla
1. Install Filezilla on pc
2. Find out your iPhone's ip address, goto wireless settings (your wireless connection) and hit the blue arrow to see your ip address.
3. Launch Filezilla and enter hostname (your ip address) then name: root
password: alpine hit connect, you should now be able to access your phones file system.

Install iPhoDroid on iPhone

1. Extract iPhoDroid_1SHOT_R13i_3G_PC.zip to your desktop.
2. Connect iPhone to PC, close itunes if it opens.
3. Click on iPhoDroid.exe and a window should open, if iPhoDroid says alpha expired, you change your computer clock to 02 September 2010, I had to. Once Lanched click "Shoot" this will then install Android to your iPhone. Once this has done your phone will boot to a menu, pust the power botton on the top right of the phone, this will scroll through the boot options, push the power botton untill you get to the bottom left hand corner where you will see "Install" now push the home button and it should install fully to your phone. Once installed your phone should boot into Android, now you need to exit Android by using the little circle on the left hand side on the main home screen. Your phone will power off, when you power the phone on you will be greeted with the boot menu, choose the apple logo which will put you back to your phone, you will find your now stuck in recovery so go back to iPhoDroid.exe and this time instead of hitting "Shoot" you need to hit "Exit out of Recovery". Your iPhone OS will now boot as normal from now on.

Copy over files from PSFreedom for Apple iPhone 2G or 3G

1. Unzip the PSFreedom for Apple iPhone 2G or 3G folder to your desktop.
2. Make sure your iPhone is booted in it's normal Apple OS.
3. Launch Filezilla and connect to iPhone. Navigate to private/var
4. Copy files the 2 files from within PSFreedom for Apple iPhone 2G and 3G to private/var, it should then ask you if you want to overwrite, that is OK. Then right click on the files (file permissions) and change them both to 777.
5. The Jailbreak will now be installed.

Using psgroove Jailbreak

1. Power off iPhone and launch Android from the new boot menu, your iPhone will have loads of text lines appearing, wait for the "INIT" text to appear (the phone is now ready)
2. Connect the iPhone to your PS
3. Flick to power switch (on the back) of the PS3 to off then on.
4 Push the power button (on front of console) and straight after push the eject button.
5. You will notice the text on the iPhone starts scrolling again.
6. Your PS3 should now be booted jailbroken (you should now have 2 folders within the game selection screen)
7. Celebrate!:carling:

a) you havnt waited long enough for the phone to do its initial setup, have to wait for the text "INIT" , the whole screen should fill up with that word. once its done that, then press power then eject.

b) are u switching it off from the back first. unplug it. turn back on then follow the same step as above

c) did u change the permissions on the two files to 777

d) and finally d... make sure theres nothing else plugged into the ps3 but the ipod/iphone.
Make sure u do them steps... and you shall be fine :p

I tried all this, but then when I get into XMB there's no option to install any packages or anything it just looks like the regular menu to me.
I also keep getting "unregistered gadget driver 'psfreedom' " when that appears on my iPhone that's when it seems to come up with Usb not recognized.
