All you need is one person to have their Jailbroken ps3 on F.W. 3.41 and have them transfer their data via ethernet. Then they put it up on a website or some place where anyone could download it, boot it up on their ps3 and boom! modded lobby!

This is most likely the method they used to do it. It would have been easier in the earlier fw's like they said because that was before the jailbreak.

This could be due to the checksum issue. When you Jailbreak it, it puts it into developer mode, so it overrides the checksum.

but anyway how are we going to get the patch onto out system if they put it up for download?
i mean people already got it for download but requires use of the FTP or what ever server, that is how they get it back on but only on a jailbroken PS3, unless of course you mean by the method i was thinking about (view link)

I apologize mate. I was unaware that you posted this and due to the crap search system i didn't find yours. I was thinking that you method could be very possible. Unfortunately, I don't have the tools required to test this out
