I was told today that if your firmware upgrade gets corrupted during installation, that you receive the option to install firmware from an external device. Now, if this is true, could you possibly, while upgrading to 3.50, purposely corrupt the installation by shutting down power, and then re-booting without internet connection, install Firmware 3.41?
I have no idea if this would work, just another theory. And YES, I do know it's stored on the NAND FLASH, but if you corrupt the current one, could it possibly be downgraded to prevent further damage to the sytem?

Theory #2.
You could use proxy server while updating, redirect the 3.42 Update file to the 3.41 Update file mid-update, and then when the file is corrupted during the installation, return to your flash drive, and install 3.41 firmware.
