If your able to do it by connection ps3's directly how come u cant back it up? Maybe im missing something or you could somehow trick the ps3 into thinking your backup and your just trying to restore it any answers?? i would be more than happy to help someone with this

I have done this before. Just connect the 2 PS3's.

I had a go yesterday at trying to change my archived backed up data, with someones modded back up. Which gave an error at 100% to say that it could not be completed. The modded back ups data of mw2 offline profile had transferred though. I will open up both sets of archived files with a hex editor at a later date to see if anything can be done.
